Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World with a roaring 5,604ft wide and 354ft tall of falling waters. In fact, it is also known as the Smoke that Thunders. You have to be graced by its beauty to prove itself to you. So if you are planning a trip to Victoria Falls here are some things you need to know.

  •  Victoria Falls is located on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. So if you are from the United States, you have to go through these two countries with a single entry or double entry visa. You can get it upon arrival so there is no need to panic.
  • There is no transportation around the place that can take you to Victoria Falls. Your only option is to rent a taxi that will take you to the border. When you reach the border, you have to jump into another taxi from the other side so you can reach Victoria Falls.
  •   Enjoy a lot of activities other than swimming. Yes, this place offers tons of adventurous activities you can try such as swimming on the Devil’s pool or go gorge swinging. If you want more thrilling activities, you can go zip-lining or bungee jumping. The superman swing is also a must-try. You will never get bored in this place.
  •  You can use USD in Zambia and Zimbabwe. However, make you bring some cash because credit cards are not widely accepted in the area. Take note also that the prices around Victoria are really expensive. It will require $30 USD to enter Victoria and reach the viewing point. The gorge swing is $90 and the flying fox is $50. We suggest that you prepare enough savings if you want to try all the adventure rides in this place.
  • The best time to visit Victoria Falls. Although falls are remarkable at high water going here during the wet season, which is February to June will not give you the best view of the falls. It is kind of foggy and also not friendly for your camera. So if you want the best experience, make sure you go here during summer where the weather is better and the attractions are much clearer not only to the naked eye but also to the camera.
